Buyer/Planner

Negotiate and Source Materials: Search for and negotiate raw materials and hardware deliveries with suppliers and manufacturers.

Distributor Management: Establish and maintain a distributor management system, ensuring every order receives at least three quotes for price comparison.

Procurement and Inventory Reporting: Generate purchase orders and inventory reports for management review.

Tactical Problem-Solving: Address and resolve tactical supply chain challenges as they arise.

Demand Fulfillment: Collaborate with the management team to ensure that all deliveries meet demand requirements.

Order Monitoring System: Develop and maintain an efficient and accurate system for monitoring purchase orders.

Inventory and Demand Forecasting: Recommend optimal inventory levels to support demand forecasts. Analyze the effects of varying demand and supply scenarios to ensure supply aligns with monthly and quarterly shipment targets.

Forecast Review and Alignment: Review forecasts with key stakeholders (including NPI, Production, and Procurement teams), integrating their feedback to ensure alignment.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with supply planning teams to develop appropriate stocking strategies.

Scenario Planning: Provide timely updates and analysis to supply chain partners to identify opportunities for scenario planning.

Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of sheet metal manufacturing technologies, with the ability to read blueprints.

Industry Experience: A minimum of 3 years of purchasing experience in the sheet metal industry.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Independent, effective communicator, skilled in working with engineering, quality, program management, and manufacturing

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Self-driven and detail-oriented, with strong analytical skills and the ability to solve problems with minimal supervision.

Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Excel and Office 365 applications; experience with ERP systems is preferred.

Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
