Reporting to the Director, HR Applications, Brookfield Renewable is seeking a skilled and motivated Business Analyst with experience in Workday to join our team.
The Business Analyst will play a key role in the implementation and ongoing optimization of Workday, supporting a range of modules including Core HCM, Talent, Absence, Benefits, Advanced Compensation, and Payroll (Canada and U.S.). This is a hands-on opportunity to shape our HRIS landscape and deliver seamless functionality across the organization.
- Provide functional and technical support throughout the Workday implementation lifecycle, including design, testing, and deployment.
- Post-implementation, configure and maintain Workday modules in alignment with evolving business needs.
- Collaborate with HR, Payroll, IT, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions
- Conduct system testing, validation, and maintain comprehensive documentation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Workday-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Monitor Workday releases and assess impacts on existing configurations.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, training materials, and user guides.
- Support reporting and integrations as required.- 3+ years of hands-on Workday configuration experience.
- Deep understanding of HR processes and expertise in one or more Workday modules: Core HCM, Talent, Absence, Benefits, Advanced Compensation, Canadian and U.S. Payroll.
- Strong grasp of Workday business process framework and security model.
- Experience with EIBs, calculated fields, and condition rules.
- Proven experience in cross-border payroll configuration (Canada/U.S.) and familiarity with U.S. benefits and collective agreements.
- Background in HRIS or enterprise systems implementation.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate business needs into system and operational requirements.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Workday certification(s) in relevant modules is a strong asset.
- A degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
Note: Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Brookfield’s identity. This position requires the employee to be on-site for a minimum of 4 days to perform most effectively. We will reassess the approach on a as needed basis.
