Our client is seeking a highly skilled IT Projects Business Analyst with strong front-office trading systems experience to support the buildout of a new trade capture system and Middle Office (MO) booking system. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in commodity trading, price risk management, or capital markets, with strong business analysis skills and a proven ability to work in fast-paced trading environments. Experience with Endur or other ETRM systems is highly preferred but not mandatory.
Role Overview
- Collaborate with traders, developers, and business stakeholders to capture and document functional and technical requirements for trading and booking systems.
- Map RFQ, order, and trade lifecycles to formulate solutions that improve efficiency and system performance.
- Act as a subject matter expert for trading system initiatives, ensuring alignment with front-office needs and compliance standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, QA, infrastructure, and production support teams.
- Contribute to the design and delivery of scalable, compliant, and flexible trading technology solutions, including algorithmic trading systems.
- Assist with vendor and third-party integrations, ensuring robust connectivity and smooth deployment processes.
- Deep understanding of global futures exchanges and full exchange-traded derivatives trade lifecycles.
- 8+ years of experience in commodity trading, price risk management, or capital markets/investment banking.- Familiarity with market data providers (Bloomberg, Refinitiv) and liquidity aggregation platforms.
- Knowledge of key financial regulations (MiFID II, EMIR, FCA) and related compliance requirements.
- Hands-on experience with third-party networks and EMS/OMS software vendors (e.g., TT, NYFIX, Bloomberg, TradingScreen).
- Strong understanding of trading lifecycle processes including order capture, execution, allocation workflow, settlement, and compliance.
- Solid experience in FIX engineering, messaging systems, and debugging network protocols (e.g., TCP, multicast).
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, C#, SQL.
- Experience in regulatory initiative implementations (e.g., MiFID II, MAD/MAR).
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating environments.
- Proven ability to support exchange certification, application deployments, and vendor management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a proactive, self-motivated approach.
- Comfortable working under demanding deadlines in high-pressure trading environments.
