Pay range: $22.02 to $40.09 per hour
The Building Maintenance Technician position performs a wide variety of tasks to maintain NorthWestern Energy's building facilities, parking lots, and various property grounds.

- Maintain and service HVAC systems
- Perform generator and fire alarm inspections and testing
- Performing low-voltage gloving (up to 277 volts typically) for working with electrical systems and lighting
- Monitor and perform basic service on building cooling systems
- Perform minor carpentry tasks (e.g. erecting 2x4 walls or hanging doors) and minor plumbing and plumbing repairs
- Perform all landscaping tasks around NorthWestern Energy facilities including lawn mowing, sprinkler repairs and snow removal
- Organize, install and remove Systems office furniture
- Monitor, maintain, and perform minor service on boilers (including completing daily boiler service logs)
- Perform material handling of heavier items including office furniture in a safe and efficient manner incorporating team lifting or assistive equipment like forklifts, pallet jacks, and hoists as needed and warranted
- Complete all required documentation
- Safely perform individual lifts of parts, equipment, and supplies weighing up to 75 pounds from floor to over-head level (>72" height)
- Assist with custodial supplies ordering as necessary
- Travel 20% across service territory, occasional overnights is required
- Adapt to technological changes as they are implemented* - Perform planning and supervision of contractors as needed* - Creating reports (e.g. safety and housekeeping issues), complete facility inspections, overseeing worksite safety*- Respond to emergency callouts within 30 minutes of a call

- Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
- Montana state boiler license preferred
- Commitment to safe working practices and knowledge of safety policies/procedures

- Microsoft Office Suite Proficiency (Outlook, Work, Excel)
- Get Into Energy - Energy Industry Fundamental 2.0 certification is a plus (click here to certify at no cost)
