The BriteWorX Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting the BriteWorX Manager in maintaining efficient operation of the BriteWorX Car Washery and staff. The position is also responsible for maintaining cleanliness and assisting the BriteWorX Manager in creating a superior image at the facility, in addition to ensuring customers receive a quality wash from a well-maintained operation. The BriteWorX Assistant Manager will promote cash wash sales and engage customers in carwash promotions, while providing customers with an exceptional buying experience. The position has responsibility for addressing customer concerns and security of company assets during the Manager’s absence. This position will operate the wash alongside BriteWorX Associates and will spend much of their work time outside.

RESPONSIBILITIES BY COMPENTENCY: (denotes an essential function of the position)*
Assist BriteWorX Manager in examining the market for changes that may affect the business
Execute pre-approved business strategies required to meet budgetary and business goals
Assist in communicating marketing and promotion programs and goals to employees
Respond timely to requests from management, customers, support staff, etc…
Communicate goals, business results, safety issues, and other important company information regularly; celebrate success
Contact Manager and support staff as needed to manage employee and customer issues
Suggest wash products and services to customers that may fit their needs
Suggest company or facility improvements that will enhance customer service
Follow through with customer recovery as needed when service doesn’t meet expectations in the absence of Manager
Provide encouragement and development for employees as needed for further growth
Strive continually to improve own performance and performance of the facility as a whole
Challenge oneself to further develop skills that relate to the position
This position has no direct reports; however, this position will be responsible for the unit in the Manager’s absence.

Education: *Required: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: *Required: At least 6 months of experience in retail, car wash or related field
Language Skills: *Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English in a manner that is
sufficient for effective communication with groups of managers, clients,
Skills and Abilities: (May be representative but not all-inclusive of those commonly associated with the position)
And Equipment: *Required: Computer, Microsoft Office, telephone,
Preferred: Copy/print/fax machine, Power Washer, Various hand tools, both power and manual;
(Proficiency with preferred items is not required to meet minimum qualifications, but proficiency must be established to complete essential job functions)
