Breaker Technician

Electrical Engineering Enterprises is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Breaker Technician to join our team for a limited-time project in Texas. This role involves performing preventative maintenance, testing and electrical services in an industrial environment. As part of this opportunity technicians may work up to 91 hours per week this is not a requirement. We welcome you to be part of something big.

Key Responsibilities

Perform Electrical testing and maintenance including:

- Circuit breaker operations

- Resistance and insulation testing (phase-to-phase, phase to ground)

- Contact resistance and pole testing

- Voltage pick-up and trip/close/trip-free/anti-pump function tests

- Vacuum bottle integrity checks

- Arresters and serialization verification

- Display and analog input/output testing

- Relay meter and discrete input/output testing

- Accurate recording and reporting of all test data and findings

Service and maintain medium to high-voltage equipment:

- Switchgear

- Motor control centers

- Generators

- Circuit breakers

- Protective relays

- Ground fault systems

- Variable frequency drivers (VFDs)

- Automatic transfer switches (ATS)

- Transformers

Qualifications

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical field services and testing

- Strong understanding of electrical systems and safety protocols

- Ability to interpret technical documents and schmatics

- Excellent communication skills

- Clean driving record and background required

Preferred Certifications

- NETA level 2

- DOBLE or MEGGER Training

- MSHA (Mine Safety)

- Phosphate Certification

- OSHA 30 Certification
