Bay Line Construction is seeking to fill the position of a Bore Crew Laborer . Bay Line Construction is a full-service electrical contractor specializing in overhead and underground electrical distribution construction.

Description of general duties (but not limited to):
Bore Crew Laborers are responsible for assisting in the installation and maintenance of electrical power systems. Bore Crew Laborers must comply with OSHA safety regulations, frequently working in precarious conditions.
You will report to the crew foreman, operator, lineman, or lineman apprentice as needed on your assigned crew. The tasks that you will perform vary and typically include assisting with installation, replacement, maintenance, or repairs of electrical equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Will be responsible for placing conduit and/or cables in trenches, splicing conduit sections (install couplers) as directed, pedestals, transformers, etc. to complete construction tasks
•Assist in the loading/unloading of equipment, materials and supplies needed for daily work
•Hand dig with shovels, picks, digging bars to expose located utilities, access U/G vaults and pedestals, and complete trenches
•Fully restore worksites after completion of work; refill trenches and holes, tamp soil, replant any plants or shrubs that were disturbed during our construction, place temporary asphalt patches on streets where excavations have been performed
•Clean and maintain all company vehicles, tools and equipment assigned for use
•When assisting Overhead Crews, Laborers may be required to perform groundman operations such as: hand line operation, organizing materials, cleaning worksite, etc.
•Other duties as assigned consistent with job description
Skills:
•Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks as required
•Capable of working in all temperatures and climates
