We have an immediate opening for an experienced bookkeeper with experience with a small fast paced, preferably a service company to handle our company’s accounting. Experience with QuickBooks online, CRM, inventory and Zoho Books accounting software needed.
A bookkeeper is responsible for managing and recording a company's financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. This role is essential for maintaining the financial health of a business.
- Record daily financial transactions, including sales, purchases, payments, and receipts.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledgers, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Prepare financial statements such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Review and submit payroll.
- Ensure compliance with sales tax regulations.
- Monitor bank accounts and perform reconciliations to identify discrepancies.
- Manage invoices, payments, and refunds while resolving any financial discrepancies.
- Collaborate with accountants for audits and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in bookkeeping software and spreadsheets.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP preferred).
- Attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze data and resolve errors efficiently.
- Strong communication skills for working with clients or internal teams.
- Accounting degree or certification, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
- 5+ years of bookkeeping experience.- Certification in bookkeeping or accounting is a plus.
