Bin Roll-Off Driver - Class 1 or Class 3

Job Summary

We are seeking reliable and skilled In-Town Roll-Off Truck Drivers to join our Bin Division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting roll-off bins safely and efficiently from our facility in Burnaby to client sites (and back) throughout the Lower Mainland while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, strong communication and the ability to manage freight effectively.

Responsibilities

- Operate heavy-duty trucks to transport freight to designated locations.

- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.

- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or other heavy equipment as necessary.

- Manually load and unload cargo that cannot be tipped from bins.

- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and deliveries.

- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transit.

- Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations regarding transportation and safety.

- Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on the truck as needed.

Requirements

- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required.

- Proven experience in commercial driving with a clean driving record.

- Familiarity with freight handling procedures and regulations.

- Experience operating forklifts or heavy equipment is preferred.

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform minor automotive repairs.

- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

- Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) as required during loading/unloading processes.

- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
