Responsibilities
Month End Activities
•Prepare schedules and analysis to support trial balances, balance sheets and other financial statements.
•Reconcile general ledger accounts, including intercompany.
•Assist with the preparation and maintenance of fixed asset schedules.
•Prepare and post journal entries, including calculating and recording of accruals.
•Reconcile sub ledgers to general ledgers.
•Assist with integrating accounting for new acquisitions.
•Other month end tasks and responsibilities required from time to time. Financial Analysis and Forecasting Activities
•Preparation of monthly and ad hoc external reporting schedules.
•Supporting financial reporting and analysis of acquisitions.
•Other tasks and responsibilities as may be required from time to time consistent with the position of Senior Financial Analyst and the job description and duties set out herein.
What You Need (Requirements)
•CPA designation or completion of CFE and working towards CPA designation.
•Fully bilingual (French + English)
•A minimum of 3 years of progressive work experience in accounting in a multi-department, multibranch environment with separate cost centers in multiple provinces is required.
•Experience with job costing and/or a field service organization considered an asset.
•ERP system experience is required. Microsoft Dynamics experience is considered an asset.
•Work with others in the Company as a team and communicate in such a way that will foster harmony and collaboration, always putting the customer (external and internal) first.
•Excellent Microsoft Excel skills (including pivot tables, “if” and “V/H/X Lookup” functions).
•Excellent and effective communication skills, both verbal and written are required.
•Ability to build and maintain relationships with all departments.
•Possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate with all levels within the organization.
•Excellent organizational, time management and prioritizing skills while working under tight deadlines.
•Strong problem identification and resolution skills.
•Follow all Company Health and Safety Policies and Guidelines and Privacy Policies.
Working Conditions
•Ability to prepare, attend and conduct presentations.
•Manual dexterity is required to use desktop computers and peripherals.
•Occasional overtime as required (i.e., month-end and year-end).
•Lifting or moving up to 10lbs may be required.
•In the case of a power outage or declared State of Emergency by any level of Government, be available for work.
