Base Operator

Base Operator Location: Wendell, Idaho Employment Type: Contract / Project-Based

About the Role

We’re hiring a Base Operator to support daily operations at a bioenergy production facility in the Wendell, ID area. This role is ideal for someone with mechanical aptitude or previous plant/industrial experience who can work safely and independently.

Responsibilities

- Perform daily rounds, equipment checks, and routine plant monitoring.

- Assist with basic troubleshooting, startup/shutdown activities, and equipment isolations.

- Maintain accurate logs and follow all safety practices (LOTO, PTW, hazard reporting).

- Support housekeeping, coordination with maintenance, and general plant operations.

Qualifications

- Experience in plant operations, industrial facilities, agricultural processing, or mechanical work preferred.

- Strong safety awareness and ability to follow established procedures.

- Physically capable of fieldwork and outdoor tasks.

- Reliable communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

- Contract/project-based role with long-term potential depending on facility needs.

- Must meet all site-specific and compliance requirements.

Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 – 55 per week
