Job Summary

Inferno Tavern, conveniently located off exit 128 is seeking a dynamic Bartender/ Server to join our team. We are looking for someone who is passionate about hospitality and providing high quality service.

Each day could look completely different at Inferno Tavern. One day might bring a quiet dinner service where individual attention to tables is paramount. Another day may bring a 50 person catered event where beverage service is the primary objective.

Flexibility, and helping hands are key to success here. We are a small but mighty team who work together to produce magic each and every day.

We expect that each team member will greet and provide service to every guest whether or not it is your customer or table. We all help each other out so if a team based environment isn't how you're used to working or your preference, this may not be the right position.

We are looking for someone that may run the bar by themselves on one day, and work as a scheduled server the next. We are growing and have a need for another person, but we are ideally looking for someone to be flexible across multiple roles to meet our growing need without overstaffing.

For the bartending component we are looking for someone comfortable learning our signature cocktail list. None of them are particularly difficult but providing a consistent experience from one bartender to the next, one day to the next is very important to us. Having a good working knowledge of classic cocktails is important too. This is not the kind of position where being able to make a rum and coke and serve bottled beers is sufficient. People expect a high quality cocktail experience. That said we are open to training and filling knowledge gaps for someone willing to take on the challenge with an eagerness to grow.

For the sever component we are looking for someone who feels comfortable hand selling items. We often have food specials or rotating wine specials that customers may only know about by your description. We are looking for someone who understands that making good money in this position comes from providing the highest quality service to customers to make their experience memorable and exceptional. Our data at Inferno shows that it's not the server with the most tables that earns the most but the ones that make a connection, properly explain our selections, and provide a high quality experience that earn the most.
