Bridgewater Energy Services, LLC is looking for a motivated Auxiliary Operatorto join our team. The Assistant Operator will be responsible for the operation of the control room and will also be expected to perform other duties as assigned. This position is a full-time, on-site position.
· Work with team members to meet established safety, environmental, production and maintenance goals and standards.
· Successfully complete all required safety and environmental training.
· Perform operational activities required to support start-up, shutdown and normal operation of plant equipment and systems.
· Report equipment conditions or other facility anomalies that could affect plant status to plant management team.
· Make entries in operating logs, environmental records and other administrative documentation needed to support the operation and maintenance of the facility.
· Complete required locking and tagging of plant equipment in accordance with plant and OSHA approved practices.
· Participate in plant housekeeping and clean-up activities required to maintain a safe work environment. These activities shall include but not be limited to cleaning, painting, and trash removal.
· Perform assigned preventative maintenance, emergency repairs and inspection of plant mechanical and electric equipment.
· Respond to abnormal operating situations in a safe and environmentally conscious manner.
· Complete routine chemical tests and make the necessary adjustments needed to operate within the established facility operating parameters.
· Comply with all site safety requirements to identify and make corrective actions necessary to eliminate potential safety hazards in the facility.
· Operate station vehicles such as frontend loader, roll-on truck and skid steer.
· Position requires working on feet for extended working hours and varied shifts with weekend and holiday work as required by schedule.
· Must be able to frequently climb ladders, enter and work in confined space areas, climb and work on elevated platforms at elevations of 90 feet or more.
· Must be able to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions and to climb vertical access ladders in all weather conditions.
· Must be able to read and understand operating procedures, control logic diagrams and other technical material pertinent to power plant operations and maintenance.
· Personal protective equipment must be worn in the performance of some duties (e.g. hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, respirators and other gear).
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
- Strong knowledge of basic electrical wiring and troubleshooting required.
- Must be able to read, write & communicate in English. Ability to work in a team environment is also required.
