Auto Yard Scale Operator

Work Hours: Monday-Saturday 8am-5pm (overtime as needed)

Starting pay: $15 to $17, depending on experience.

MUST BE RELIABLE,and have work history to show that!

Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Summary/Objective

The Scale Operator is responsible for operating scales in the auto yard to weigh in drivers, provide customer service to the public, staff, and clients, run a cash register, and perform other clerical duties in the scale house.

Operate the scale to weigh in/out commercial and public traffic

Run the cash register to process cash payments

Track sales and purchases of metal through online data base
