Summary

The Resource Scheduler supports activities associated with PGE’s Facility Inspection and Treatment to the National Electrical Safety Code (FITNES) program, which encompasses 280,000 poles and overhead facilities and 100,000 underground vaults and pad-mounted electrical equipment as required by the Oregon Public Utility Commission (OPUC) and the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC). This role provides expertise, analysis, scheduling, reporting, process improvements, and daily support for PGE’s overhead and underground inspection and correction programs.We're hiring for a position open to both entry and associate level candidates. The level will be determined based on the successful applicant's qualifications, experience, and demonstrated skills during the interview process.

Key Responsibilities Resource Scheduler (P1)* Supports the coordination, scheduling, and dispatch of crews to perform electric utility inspections and corrections, assisting with daily routing needs

Reviews inspection data for completeness and flags potential follow-up needs under the guidance of more experienced team members
Assists in the analysis of pole occupant violations and prepares initial drafts of notification materials
Supports internal and contract personnel by helping facilitate training logistics and collecting QA feedback
Monitors and records basic crew metrics and location data to support field tracking
Reviews and processes billing documentation and contractor invoices with direction, ensuring correct categorization
Assists in tracking budget-related data and preparing purchase order summaries
Drafts responses to customer inquiries regarding electric system inspection programs, escalating complex concerns as needed

Associate Resource Scheduler (P2)* Plans, coordinates, schedules, routes, dispatches, and monitors PGE’s inspection and correction crews to support the FITNES program

Analyzes and evaluates work returned from electric utility inspection and correction line crews to determine necessary follow-up, applying knowledge of electric utility systems and NESC requirements
Reviews and analyzes incoming violation data to ensure inspection accuracy and timely notification of pole occupant violations in compliance with regulatory requirements
Supports and helps facilitate training and oversight of PGE and field contract personnel in data collection, inspections, and corrections to ensure quality assurance
Monitors crew resources, locations, and daily production metrics
Reviews, analyzes, and audits inspection and correction billing and invoices for cost accuracy and proper accounting application
Tracks and reports actual expenditures against budget goals and purchase order thresholds
Serves as the primary point of contact for customer communications related to PGE’s overhead and underground inspection and correction program
Responds to customer calls and emails related to the FITNES overhead, underground, and wildfire inspection and correction programs

Qualifications Education* Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, finance or other related field or equivalent experience

Experience* P1: Typically, one year of experience in utility distribution operations

P2: Typically, two or more years of experience in utility distribution operations, preferably in dispatch, planning or related field
Valid Driver’s License Required

Compensation Range:

$61,950.00 - $123,875.00

Actual total compensation, including a performance based incentive bonus, is commensurate with experience, skills, qualifications, education, training, and internal equity. While we anticipate the selected candidate for this position will fall towards the middle or entry point of the compensation range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis.
