We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Scheduler to join our team at K&A Engineering in Syracuse, New York. Responsibilities & Duties::
Role Expectations:
•Develop, coordinate, and maintain detailed project schedules for individual projects and programs for project portfolio within Primavera P6.
•Facilitate schedule development and maintenance with the full project team (i.e. engineering, licensing and permitting, procurement, construction, etc.)
•Analyze schedule information and provide project teams with recommended corrective action to ensure projects meet required in-service dates.
•Prepare detailed schedule reports as required (i.e. critical path view, baseline vs. actual view, look ahead view, milestone view, what-if scenarios, etc.)
•Develop, coordinate, and maintain financial schedule, estimate budget and resource, procurement, and other data within Primavera P6 that may be required for individual projects and for the project portfolio.
•Develop coordinate and maintain status reporting and dashboards for the financial aspects and schedules within Primavera P6 including performance indices such as CPI, SPI, and other Key Performance Indices (KPIs).
•Support the Project Management team to provide effective integrated project schedule monitoring, tracking budget variance, forecasting project scheduling of key milestones and provide cost and schedule reports.
•Provide schedule, cost management, risk management, change management, reporting, and oversight services for projects.
•Lead the development of the reporting systems for project controls assignments.
•Perform complex aspects of individual projects estimating, scheduling, change documentation and cost control while reporting up to program or portfolio level as well as trains and teaches other members of PC organization.
•Reporting on portfolio level and perform Integrated project planning.
•Responsible for initiating and completing routine aspects of project control assignments.
•Effectively apply fundamental project controls principles and procedures.
•Perform analytics, forecasting, understanding actuals vs funding, and understanding budget vs funding.
•Provide technical/analytical and functional support in project scheduling, working with Project Management, Project Controls, Construction Management, Licensing and Permitting and all project-related stakeholders.
•Process forecasts, trends, and estimates for large construction projects.
•Implement project control best practices and process improvements.
•Lead corporate and program-wide quality improvement initiatives.
•Respond to cost and schedule data requests.
•Identify and develop ways to automate repetitive.
Qualifications & Skills::
What we’re looking for:
•Bachelor's Degree in Business Engineering or Construction with 5+ years equivalent work experience
•Utility industry experience is preferred
•3+ years of Project Management Scheduling concepts (Activity Definition and Sequencing Resource Estimating Activity Duration Estimating CPM and Baseline analysis Earned Value etc.)
•Primary experience with Enterprise Portfolio Scheduling Software tool (Primavera P6)
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel PowerPoint and Word
•Strong understanding of the project progression
