To start as soon as possible, full time, permanentThe Associate Project Manager supports the Project Manager (PM) in the successful execution of large utility scale renewable power generation projects including solar PV, wind, and battery storage. Key responsibilities include assisting in the managing of construction safety, quality assurance, scheduling, contractor scope management, and budget oversight. The Associate Project Manager will support the PM in the execution and tracking of construction progress, ensuring contract compliance, and managing project closeout.
- Assist PM’s to ensure the timely execution of the project, within the established schedule and budgetary constraints and in compliance with safety, reliability, technical quality and regulatory requirements.
- Support the PM in the execution of supplier and contractor contracts, including the review and approval of change orders and invoices
- Coordinate project expectations, workflows, and communications among various departments and stakeholders, both internal and external, to RWECE to ensure alignment with the project objectives, contracts, budgets and schedules.
- Assist the project team in Quality Analysis/Quality Control for key deliverables associated with both managed projects and task, as well as those overseen by others.
- With support from the PM, identify, report, and manage project risks in collaboration with the relevant project stakeholders to develop effective mitigation plans.
- Maintain effective communication with the PM and all team members, both internal and external to the company. Assist in the preparation and distribution of progress status reports, as required.
- Ensure the highest standards of environmental health and safety on assigned renewable energy project(s).
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Construction Management related field of study from an accredited college or university
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification and Professional Engineer (PE) is a plus
- Minimum 1 years of relevant work experience. 5 years of progressive project managment expereince
- Able to travel 25% to 40% of the time
- Has a valid US driver’s license
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven ability to manage customer relationships
- Demonstrated commitment to learn about the Company and the renewables space
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams
- Strong leadership and communication, and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong organizational skills and adept at coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables
- Capable of multi-tasking, while working independently and as part of a team
- Highly motivated self-starter, goal-oriented, with robust problem-solving capabilities.
- Proven track record of empathy, relationship building, and effective leadership across diverse backgrounds
- Receptive to feedback, open to challenges and eager for professional development.
- Detail-oriented with strong business acumen and a comprehensive understanding of business principles.
Pay range: The annual base salary range for this position in Illinois is $81,000 - $115,000 . The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. RWE considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s education & work experience, training & certifications, and key skills as well as market and business considerations at the time of the offer.
