Expected salary range of $65,700 to $73,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
The primary purpose of this position is to research, extract, compile and analyze data; develops periodic reports and process ad hoc reporting requests; assist in documenting and training of related procedures; maintain and update databases; research and resolve issues associated with information within the various business operations database systems. Individual must be flexible, proactive and able to work with ambiguity.
- Conduct basic operational and financial analysis and prepare reports(includes but not limited to forecasting, trending, variance analysis, business case development, workforce and capacity utilization, etc.)
- Support the financial close and associated governance processes
- Track, maintain, analyze and provide current information on the operation's business scorecard or key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Support special projects (e.g., system upgrades or new system implementation associated with cost reporting) as requested. Ability to understand how the system interfaces operate to reduce the risks associated to the implementation of a Change Request.
- Ensure integrity of the business operations data within each system and resolve discrepancies related to the database information
- Support business operations data systems: including technical applications or information support systems including billing and or vendor management as assigned.
- Perform other job assignments and duties as directed by management or pursuant to company policy, including but not limited to emergency response, departmental coverage, call outs, and support of outage activities in positions outside the department.
- Bachelor's degree in a business-related field OR
- Associate's degree in a business-related field with a minimum of 2 years of business-related experience OR
- High school diploma/GED and 4 years of experience in finance or business operations
- Effective financial analysis skills combined with effective written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of business operations & generation industry practices
- Strong computer-based analytical skill (e.g. Excel, Power Point)
- Strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to be well organized
- Maintain minimum access requirement or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
- Familiar with financial systems such as Hyperion, and Oracle. Familiar with Concur, time-entry system (e.g., eTime) and Asset Suite 9 (AS9)
- Familiar with zero budget and/or billable organizations
- Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to build lookup tables, pivot tables, and other analytical tools to produce clear, actionable summary reports for management on business performance
