Overview:
Wire-Bond, a major manufacturer of masonry accessories, is currently seeking an Assistant Controller for our Charlotte, NC headquarters. The Assistant Controller will oversee various accounting functions, maintain rigorous internal controls, and collaborate across departments to promote transparency and accuracy in financial operations.
- Run daily/monthly/annual reports as needed (G/L accounts, Seagate Crystal reports, Sage FAS, Workers’ Compensation, ADP, ad hoc, etc.)
- Assist billing, payables and network admin personnel and backup as needed
- Responsible for monthly physical inventory, summarization and revaluation
- Analyze G/L accounts and analysis of other G/L accounts prepared by A/P
- Process allocation transactions
- Operating bank account reconciliation
- Assist in audit preparation and other year-end analysis and inventory
- Process payroll for Hourly employees (weekly)
- Other duties as required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field preferred
- Strong understanding of accounting principles including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and account analysis
- Demonstrated experience in balance sheet reconciliation, account reconciliation, and general ledger management
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field preferred
- Knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Sage FAS experience preferred/ADP experience required
- Effective organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Ability to conduct physical inventory audits in non-climate controlled warehouse environment.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
