We are seeking an Asset Risk Strategist to join our Asset Information & Risk Management Department. Under the general direction
of the Civil & Linear Asset Risk Engineer provide strategic direction and leadership to key contributors to various asset management
initiatives throughout the Asset Management Division and Corporation. This position is eligible for Manitoba Hydro hybrid work from
home/office work model.
- Lead coordination of risk mitigation, insurance and other asset management system actions plans for the HVDC, Generation,
Distribution, AC Transmission and Natural Gas energy systems specifically by:
- Develop and continuously improve action plan trackers in SharePoint and action plan performance dashboards in PowerBI,
while working independently to resolve data quality issues.
- Create and maintain records of key meetings, including independently identifying key opportunities of coordination between
- Conduct energy system performance analysis with technical subject matter experts to recommend prioritization of actions
- Develop communication plans with the various interest parties to assist in the smooth flow of information between various
- Create and communicate action plan performance progress and challenges to leadership in written reports and oral
- Develop and continuously improve with the creation of asset performance, condition, risk, maintenance or investment
- Lead with the development and enhancement of strategic asset management written deliverables, such as energy system
- Gather and prepare asset information, such as develop asset information proxy data to support engineers in asset
- Lead development and enhancement of asset management corporate policies, standards and processes for the alignment
- Four-year degree in Commerce, Economics or other related discipline plus four years of directly related experience working
with capital planning and corporate business systems;
OR
- Two year diploma in Business or other related discipline plus seven years of related experience working with capital planning

- Knowledge of Manitoba Hydro's capital planning, project, change or risk management processes would be considered an
- An Institute of Asset Management Certificate in Asset Management would be considered an asset.
- Ability to facilitate and lead cross functional teams at various levels across the corporation.
- Possess a high degree of initiative and demonstrates the ability to work independently and harmoniously in a team
- Must obtain and maintain a current Personal Risk Assessment and a "Clear" security rating in accordance with Manitoba
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The range for the classification is $47.22-$65.19 Hourly,
$90,484.68-$124,925.58 Annually.
