ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
General description of main/primary duties and responsibilities of the job, aptitude, level of complexity, span of control, autonomy, decision making and judgement. It is central and necessary to the satisfactory performance of the job. Includes the following and other duties as assigned.
Under limited supervision, this position will:
•Understand, implement, and maintain the energy trading risk management system, including but not limited to price curves, counterparties, credit limits, delivery locations, firm transportation paths inclusive of transportation variables, and deal validation/checkout.
•Manage the deal confirmation process including identification and timely resolution of discrepancies with both internal and external counterparties.
•Perform credit analysis and review financial statements of all counterparties the Company transacts with on an annual basis. Recommend open credit limits based on analysis and obtain collateral as necessary.
•Responsible for counterparty collateral management including requesting and tracking letter of credit and guaranty amendments, to ensure proper security is in place in accordance with internal company policies.
•On a daily basis, ensure that all end of day activities was successful and accurate.
•Accurately generate, distribute, reconcile, and finalize invoices for all physical gas marketing transactions. Assist Accounting as needed, primarily with answering complex transactional related questions and help resolve issues.
•Assist with performing system upgrades and testing processes. Identify enhancements needed, partner with IT and vendor, test, schedule, document, and train others.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Experience, Licensure (minimum level required)
•Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
•Field of Study: Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field.
At least three (3) years of Accounting, Finance, Risk Management or related experience in Oil & Gas Industry and/or in Producer or Trading organization.
CORE COMPETENCIES

•Knowledge of energy markets such as natural gas and oil markets.
•Good understanding of North American Energy Standards Board (NAESB) contracts and associated Special Provisions with derivative pricing and/or various middle office functions.
•Functional understanding of physical gas trading, associated terminology, and transactions.
•Financial acumen and understanding of common financial risk metrics and control methodologies.
•Strong analytical skills with the ability to recognize, analyze, and solve complex problems.
•Data management skills along with understanding of the fundamentals behind the data.
•Good organizational skills with ability to manage and prioritize multiple assignments with competing deadlines.
•Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with various internal and external parties.
•Good interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
•Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Functions as an individual contributor with no supervisory responsibilities.

•Job is primarily performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires regular use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system.

Regular business hours.
