The Assembler is accountable for ensuring the efficient output of a high-quality product meeting customer expectations. The Assembler, assembles or fabricates mechanical parts, pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment in the specified areas of production. The Assembler will have a supporting role in assisting the Instrumentation Technician, by learning to clean and calibrate instrumentation.
Build support and engagement for corporate & operations initiatives and objectives; and

Understand and comply with the Rice EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) System; and
Position parts and assemble according to manufacturing orders and work instructions;
Efficiently produce quality product, on time, that meets customer expectations;
Ensure parts meet or exceed written/drawn specifications during a complete production run;
Verify and record specifications and information on Quality Control (QC) Report,
Perform preventative maintenance tasks on the machines and equipment to maintain proper functionality and cleanliness,
High School Diploma or equivalent; or two to four years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to perform basic math; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Must be able to follow directions. Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
Ability to use hand tools and/or power tools, and precision measuring equipment.
· Regularly stand for long periods of time (up to 12 hours).
· Regularly possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately in a production environment.
· Occasionally work in all weather conditions.
· Occasionally required to lift 30-50 lbs
o Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
o Monday – Thursday: 4:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.
o Friday – Sunday: 12:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m. and every second Thursday 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.
