Job Title: Area Manager – BOP Testing
Location: Kermit, Texas
Overview:
We are looking for a highly organized, motivated and hands-on Area Manager to oversee our BOP testing operations in Kermit, TX. The ideal candidate will manage day-to-day field and office operations, ensure timely and accurate billing, and maintain high standards for equipment and personnel. This role is critical to ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and client satisfaction in a fast-paced oilfield services environment.
Key Responsibilities:
•Team Management: Lead and supervise field and office staff, ensuring high performance, accountability, and compliance with company policies.
•Timekeeping Oversight: Review, approve, and audit employee timecards to ensure accuracy before payroll submission.
•Invoicing: Ensure all job tickets and field paperwork are submitted on time and match timecards and job scope. Coordinate with accounting to guarantee timely, accurate billing.
•Equipment Oversight: Ensure all field equipment (testing units, tools, trucks) is clean, properly maintained, and accounted for.
•Customer Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for client representatives in the area, maintaining strong relationships and responding quickly to concerns.
•Operational Efficiency: Monitor daily operations to identify areas of improvement in safety, logistics, and job execution.
•Compliance & Safety: Ensure all activities adhere to regulatory standards and company safety protocols.
•Reporting: Provide regular updates to upper management on job performance, personnel issues, billing, and equipment status.
Qualifications:
•Previous supervisory or management experience in the oil and gas field services industry, preferably in BOP testing or well control services
•Strong understanding of field service documentation, job ticketing, and invoicing processes
•Familiarity with DOT, OSHA, and oilfield-specific safety standards
•Proven ability to lead teams in high-pressure, 24/7 field operations
•Excellent organizational and communication skills
•Proficient in Microsoft Office and industry-related software (e.g., ticketing and payroll systems)
•Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel locally as needed
