Position Title: Apprenticeship Training Instructor

Essential Functions:

The Apprenticeship Training Instructor is responsible for ensuring all apprenticeship activities, as assigned, are organized and achieve the desired results at all times. The individual must possess a thorough understanding of recording procedures and have a strong background in providing apprenticeship coordination support as well as strong communication, interpersonal and computer skills. The position shall report to the Director of Training.
Roles and Responsibilities:
•Maintains all apprentice records in accordance with established Company policies, Department of Labor policies, and procedures. This includes specific apprenticeship duties, maintaining all apprentice files, records and correspondence, and ensuring that all clerical support functions are provided accordingly so as to meet the needs of assigned management personnel.
•Ensure all information retrieval mechanisms are utilized so as to properly maintain office efficiency relating to the retention, protection, transfer, and disposal of all records.
•Attend meetings with the Apprenticeship Training Committee in a liaison capacity in order to represent apprentice performance and progress through specific apprentice programs.
•Represent the apprenticeship program to the Department of Labor and Veterans Association on behalf of Cobra Energy with advice/direction from the program sponsor and management. In a liaison capacity for the Training Department, seek out relationships with external organizations (community colleges, trade organization, etc.) and Cobra employees in order to facilitate a clear understanding of apprenticeship programs and to ensure the appropriate training is provided consistent with Apprentice Program requirements.
•Provide journeymen and management with training on apprentice programs in order to support and facilitate training requirements for apprentices.
•Maintain apprenticeship efficiency through the proper planning and implementation of office systems and procedures, layouts and equipment procurement, when so directed.
•Ensure the proper implementation of established Company office policies and procedures, measure results against established standards, and make adjustments, where appropriate, to ensure maximum results are achieved.
•Maintain effective communication with management relative to the proper and timely preparation of all required reports and other specified Company documents.
•As appropriate, maintain all necessary professional and other designations applicable to the position. Attend, where appropriate, education seminars and workshops, establish and maintain professional networks, and be and active participant in selecting professional organizations.
•Be an active participant in all Company Strategic Planning initiatives and other Company-sponsored development and improvement initiatives.
•Other responsibilities, as assigned.

•Basic Computer skills including Microsoft Office and some web-based programs

•Must have ability for travel on needed training requirements.
Experience and Education:
•High School Diploma or equivalent
•Minimum of Three (3) year’s records keeping and management experience preferred
•Excellent Computer Skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications:
•Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Residence Driver License is required.
•This position will be primarily located indoors in a controlled environment with infrequent exposure to outdoor elements including wet and humid conditions and extreme heat or cold.
•Candidates must pass criminal and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background checks and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
