Power your future with Qualus in our Specialized Field Services department as an Apprentice Field Service Technician. As an Apprentice Field Service Technician your responsibilities include leaning the basics of testing, wiring, and repair of circuit breakers, transformers, motor control, switchgear, and other electrical apparatus in the shop and field.
- Review job scope and work with Senior Technicians or Supervisor to execute scope
- Support in proper documentation for all jobs
- Remain current with all OSHA required training and other technical training prescribed by supervisor
- Assist on performing testing on electrical apparatus equipment including Megger, Ductor, Hi-Pot, Hi-Current, and Timing Tests
- Complete mechanical work and repairs on electrical power apparatus, including but not limited to circuit breakers, transformers, motor control, switchgear and other related apparatus or components
- Performs wiring in switchgear and on breakers as required
- Utilizes and accurately reads meters
- Controls troubleshooting and basic repair of equipment
- Reads and interprets schematics and wiring diagrams
- Accurately and consistently documents test results using Power DB
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with hands demonstrating a mechanical aptitude preferred
- Reference and complete assignments as described in applicable specifications
- Perform regular field work both indoors and outdoors
- Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills, business acumen, management ability
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Valid Driver’s license and good driving record
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (inclusive of reading and writing) due to the nature of safety-related materials, documentation, and interactions with clients

The expected compensation range for this position is based upon several factors, including but not limited to education, qualifications, prior relevant work experience and work location.
