Aurora Renewables is seeking a motivated Apprentice Electrician/Solar Installer to join our dynamic team in Saskatoon. This role offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience in both electrical work and solar energy system installations. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about renewable energy, eager to learn, and committed to excellence in safety.
The successful candidate must be comfortable working at heights and demonstrate strict compliance with all safety regulations, including the proper use of fall protection equipment and tie-off procedures when working on rooftops.
· Assist with the installation, maintenance, and commissioning of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems.
· Support licensed electricians with electrical wiring and component installation according to current codes and standards.
· Assemble and install solar panels, racking systems, inverters, and batteries.
· Ensure work is performed safely, accurately, and efficiently.
· Perform site preparation and assist with system layout and measurements.
· Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
· Participate in safety meetings and adhere to all health and safety regulations.
· Collaborate with team members and project managers to meet project timelines.
· Registered apprentice electrician (or willingness to become registered).
· Strong interest in renewable energy and solar PV technology.
· Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions.
· Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in physically demanding environments.
· Excellent communication skills and a positive team attitude.
· Previous experience with solar installations (an asset but not required).
