Permian Resources (NYSE: PR) is currently seeking an Applications Developer in Midland, TX, reporting to the IT Director of E&P Systems
.
The position will be responsible for enabling low-code/no-code applications, automating workflows and architecting scalable solutions across the company. The ideal candidate will have strong technical as well as communication skills and be able to contribute his/her expertise while working on multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
General Responsibilities•Enable business operations with custom tools and apps that provide intuitive access to data, streamlined task execution, and process visibility.
•Build and deploy responsive, user-friendly Power Apps solutions that digitize and automate manual field and back-office processes (e.g., inspection checklists, field ticketing, asset management).
•Automate workflows and processes using Power Automate, integrating with internal tools, SharePoint, email, and business systems.
•Recommend tools, design patterns, and best practices for app development and integration
•Use robust, secure API integrations to connect enterprise systems, cloud services, and user-facing tools.
•Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and data developers to deliver cohesive, production-ready solutions.
•Own the full lifecycle of application delivery from technical design and development to testing, documentation, deployment, and support.
•Mentor junior team members and help establish standards and reusable components for broader solution development.
•Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
•Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
Required Qualifications
•BS/BA in Computer Science, Business, or equivalent experience.
•5+ years of IT expertise in systems integration, software development, and/or solution engineering.
•3+ years of oil and gas industry experience.
•Strong proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse)
Preferred Qualifications
•Hands-on experience with API development and integration in enterprise environments.
•Knowledge of Databricks, Azure SQL, Python and DAX (or equivalent tools) a plus
•Experience working with structured/unstructured data from industrial sources (e.g., sensors, PLCs, SCADA).
