MAROMA Energy Services, a minority owned business, was established in 2014 for the primary purpose of servicing the energy efficiency marketplace. Our goal is to help residents and businesses achieve their energy conservation goals by delivering quality energy conservation solutions and education. MAROMA has delivered energy efficiency services to thousands of households under contract by Nevada Energy, Southern California utilities, and the Department of Community Services and Development.
Our mission is to improve the quality of life of low-income families by connecting them to no cost energy conservation services.
Work schedule: Monday through Friday; occasional Saturdays - 7:30 am to 4:30 pm
Rate: $16 - $21 – per hr. / DOE
One year demonstrated experience performing appliance installations and/or appliance repair services; High School Diploma, typically possesses two years of customer service experience; must have strong oral and written communication skills. Must possess the ability to take initiative and accountability for quality work, excellent customer service skills, and a proactive work ethic; work with minimal supervision and be a team player. Must be able to lift/carry/push/pull fifty (50) pounds. Must be able to work in hot climate areas. Must maintain a good driving record, and pass required tests, including background check and drug test.
The successful candidate is responsible for delivering and installing appliances and other small electrical products, such as light bulbs and smart power strips (“Measures”) in customer homes. The Installer must verify that all Measures meet eligibility and installation requirements prior to installation and verify quality and operation post installation. Individuals must be able to perform quality work under high-pressure situations. He/she will use company vehicles and equipment to perform the services and will facilitate excellent customer service by proactively communicating and educating the client on the services provided.
- Load and unload vehicles daily with measures scheduled for delivery and installation
- Assemble / disassemble appliances for installation
- Test outlets with Receptacle Ground Tester to verify grounding
- Identify cause of operating errors and take necessary steps to correct error
- Service and repair appliances/equipment such as refrigerators and dryers
- Inspect equipment and structure to decide if installation is possible, or to identify any potential problems and defects
- Perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials; ability to lift and pull 50 lbs.
- Educate customers on the proper use and maintenance of the appliance/equipment; demonstrate proper use; supply warranty information
- Record delivery/installation and/or maintenance/repair work using tablet-based forms
- Document repair work to establish the nature of correction
- Track, monitor, and safeguard company inventory and supplies
- Keep up to date with local and state building codes and with technology and apply knowledge to job
