- Perform sample analysis using automated instrumentation; perform instrument calibration, maintenance, and repair
- Sample management and sample preparation for analyses
- Perform analytic sample preparation including co-precipitation techniques, micro-plating, acid leaching, and extractions.
- Analyze for radionuclides using Alpha and Gamma Spectroscopy, Liquid Scintillation, and Gas Proportional Counting.
- Ensure quality data is generated and within set quality limits
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures, Safety Manual and the Employee Handbook
- Other job duties as assigned
- Aptitude to operate, fix and maintain laboratory equipment
- Strong computer skill to operate instrument software, LIMS program and company programs
- Works well with others and independently with the ability to mutli-task
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to provide inter and intra-departmental technical questions to staff and supervisors
- Dependable, self-motived, and detail orientated
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or other science field is required.
- Radiochemistry experience in an private environmental lab is preferred.
This position is a full time position located in Casper Wyoming. Salary range is dependent on education, experience and skill.
