Reporting to the Principal Chemist, the Chemist will assist in the development and execution of a comprehensive laboratory program to support the various stages of the Rook I Project. The laboratory program will support key areas including the worker health and safety, environmental protection, laboratory quality management, laboratory technical management, and overall laboratory logistics at each phase of the Project.
During the Saskatoon-based pilot lab phase, the Chemist will focus on hands-on technical method development within a temporary pilot lab facility. As the Rook I Project enters the construction phase, the Chemist role will transition to a site-based role encompassing laboratory technical management, supervision and quality management. During the operational phase of the Project, the Chemist role will be a hybrid of technical, quality and management level activities associated with the operation of an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory.
