Primary purpose:
Support Stanchion Energy’s commodity trading activities that include natural gas and crude oil
Essential duties and responsibilities:
•Collaborate with counterparties during the monthly checkout process to accurately complete natural gas trade settlements.
•Review and verify the accuracy of incoming trade confirmations; prepare and distribute trade confirmations as necessary.
•Partner with commodity traders to conduct ad-hoc quantitative analyses supporting trading decisions.
•Coordinate with crude oil and natural gas schedulers to optimize and streamline daily and monthly actualizations.
•Support back-office teams to ensure timely and accurate invoicing and payment processing for all trades.
•Prepare and submit wire transfer requests for commodity invoice payments on a monthly basis.
•Upload settlement data into the ERP system (Oracle) and collaborate with Treasury to confirm payment accuracy.
•Perform monthly reconciliations against pipeline statements to ensure data integrity.
•Assist in maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and functionality of the Energy Trade Risk Management (ETRM) system.
•Support internal and external audit processes by compiling and preparing requested data and documentation.
•Ensure compliance with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements governing trade activities.
•Collect, analyze, and report monthly and annual trade compliance data to senior management.
•Perform additional duties as assigned, including daily, weekly, monthly, or special projects.
Minimum requirements :
Education:
•Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
Experience/Specific Knowledge:
•0-2 years of relevant, transferable experience.
•Advanced analytical and modeling skills
•Well organized, self-starter, accountable
•Intermediate/Advanced proficiency level in MS Office applications that may include but are not limited to Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Certifications, Licenses & Registrations:
•Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers (for travel).

Working Conditions:
•Required to carry a cell phone and be available to respond during working and non-working hours.
•The successful candidate will be required to clear a drug screen and a complete background check, including credit report for certain positions, after an offer has been extended and prior to being employed.
