Solar Construction Project Manager Community Solar Projects | Long-Term Contract Location:

Remote with Site Visits (Upstate New York)

We are working with a renewable energy client seeking an experienced

Solar Construction Project Manager

to oversee

four (4) community solar projects

, each approximately

20 MW

. This role will have full responsibility for project execution across multiple sites, with a strong emphasis on

construction management, schedule control, and financial oversight

.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on

community solar experience

; however,

utility-scale solar experience

will be considered.

Solar experience is required.

This position will operate primarily

remotely

, with

periodic site visits

to Upstate New York for monthly meetings and other project needs.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide overall project management oversight for multiple community solar construction sites

- Lead project execution from mobilization through mechanical completion and closeout

- Manage and track project budgets, forecasts, and cost controls

- Review and process purchase orders, change orders, and cost projections

- Coordinate with EPCs, subcontractors, owners, inspectors, and utility representatives

- Monitor construction schedules and ensure milestones are achieved

- Identify and mitigate project risks, cost impacts, and schedule constraints

- Support monthly reporting, progress updates, and financial summaries

- Conduct periodic site visits to support construction activities and stakeholder meetings

- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

- Solar construction experience required

- Community solar experience preferred; utility-scale solar experience acceptable

- Strong understanding of construction project management principles

- Proven experience managing budgets, projections, POs, and change orders

- Ability to manage multiple active sites simultaneously

- Comfortable working in a remote role with periodic travel

- Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills
