J&W Services is seeking an AI Innovation Analyst to lead the identification, development, and deployment of artificial intelligence and automation solutions that improve field operations, customer service, asset management, and back-office efficiency in the oil and gas wellhead manufacturing & service business.
- Identify high-impact AI and automation opportunities specific to mechanical, electrical, material, and facilities maintenance (predictive maintenance, work-order routing, inventory optimization, technician scheduling, customer communication, etc.).
- Build, test, and deploy AI-powered solutions including wellhead specific LLM, predictive maintenance models, computer-vision inspection tools, automated quoting engines, and workflow automations.
- Clean, structure, and prepare company data (service history, asset records, IoT sensor data, billing, etc.) for use in machine-learning models.
- Integrate AI tools with existing systems (Syteline, QuickBooks, Microsoft, or similar field service software).
- Research and pilot emerging AI technologies relevant to the trades (e.g., generative AI for scope-of-work writing, computer vision for equipment diagnostics, NLP for customer inquiry handling).
- Collaborate with field operations, accounting, and sales teams to ensure solutions are practical, adopted, and deliver measurable ROI.
- Establish and maintain AI governance, data privacy, and ethical-use standards in line with industry’s best practices.
- Software for visual inspection of wellhead equipment using machine learning.
- Track and report ROI of AI initiatives (time saved, cost reduction, customer satisfaction improvement).
- Develop software for image and computer vision-based monitoring of wellhead equipment.
- Deploy machine learning models into production environments through cloud platforms such as AWS or on-premises infrastructure.
- Conduct data mining and exploratory data analysis to identify patterns that inform model development and business strategies.
- Utilize natural language processing techniques to enhance AI applications involving text analysis or conversational agents.
- Support model maintenance by monitoring performance metrics and retraining models as needed for continuous improvement.
- Document processes thoroughly to ensure transparency, reproducibility, and compliance with organizational standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, AI Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- Extensive experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, SAS Viya, Spark MLlib, and other relevant tools.
- Knowledge of cloud computing platforms like AWS for scalable model deployment and management.
- Strong data wrangling skills (SQL, Excel/Sheets, Power BI or Tableau is a plus).
- Solid understanding of database design principles along with hands-on experience with SQL and linked data concepts.
- Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP), unsupervised learning methods, and quantum engineering principles related to AI advancements.
- Ability to perform data mining, analytics, and visualization using tools like Looker or similar platforms to communicate insights effectively.
- Experience with ETL tools such as Talend for data integration tasks across complex systems.
