About This Job

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Aerial Fiber Lineman to install, maintain, and repair overhead fiber optic cable systems. The ideal candidate will have experience working at heights, knowledge of aerial construction practices, and a commitment to maintaining the integrity and performance of telecommunication networks.

Key Responsibilities:

•

Install, maintain, and troubleshoot aerial fiber optic cables, including strand and lash work.

•

Climb poles and operate aerial lifts to perform work at heights.

•

Use hand tools, power tools, and equipment to place and secure cables.

•

Read and interpret work orders, engineering plans, and fiber schematics.

•

Ensure compliance with safety protocols, company standards, and industry regulations (OSHA, NESC, etc.).

•

Perform pole transfers, cable relocations, and storm damage repairs.

•

Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and contractors.

•

Complete documentation and reports on completed work.

Requirements:

•

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications preferred.

•

Minimum 1–2 years of experience in aerial fiber or utility line work.

•

Proficient in climbing poles and using aerial lift equipment.

•

Familiarity with lashing machines, strand tensioning, and fiber splicing (a plus).

•

Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred).

•

Ability to work in various weather conditions and travel to job sites as required.

•

Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

•

Comfortable working at heights up to 50 feet or more.

•

Capable of standing, walking, climbing, and bending for extended periods.

Pay: $24.00 - $27.46 per hour

Monday to Friday

Nights as needed

Overtime
