Additive Manufacturing Technician Job Summary
Ability to provide technical support regarding 3D printing, techniques, and troubleshooting in both SLA & FDM Printing. Ability to learn CAD basics to model simple components for 3D printing to support the plant’s needs with alternative materials and parts. Track and implement 3D printing savings on a weekly basis.
Principal Duties/Responsibilities
- Develop basic 3-D models from sketches and produce 2-D drawings, to be used for 3-D printing.
- Maintain organization of technical and tooling files on the shared drive.
- Operate 3-D printers and inventory control system for printed components that are part specific (de-finners, fixtures, gating, risers, etc.).
- Ability to create 3D models from 2D drawings.
- Ability to create 2-D drawings.
- Office Software skills (Excel, AS-400, Word, Power Point, and Outlook)
- Must possess good written and oral communication skills.
- Employ critical thinking, logic, and reasoning to troubleshoot and solve problems.
- Must be an organized individual with the ability to implement and create organization systems for files, tools, standards, etc.
- Must possess time management skills.
