Position Summary
As an Accountant at Oncor, you’re responsible for performing various general accounting activities including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, intercompany settlements, payroll reconciliations and bank account reconciliations. This role will provide support preparing, processing, reviewing and analyzing various general ledger activitites and reporting financial and statistical transactions for Oncor Electric Delivery and Oncor Electric Delivery Holdings Company, LLC.

. Key Responsibilities- Assists in month-end close process by preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Settles Oncor Electric Delivery intercompany transactions with other company entities.
- Reconciles Oncor payroll and bank account.
In Addition To The Above, Senior Accountants Will
- Perform all essential functions and aspects of the job including any other specific job requirements
- Perform monthly closing responsibilities including journal entry preparation and approval, account reconciliations and analysis.
- Prepare and analyzes financial and operational information for Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) reporting Request for Information (RFI's) and audit inquiries.
- Prepare and analyzes information used for inclusion in regulatory compliance filings.
- Prepare various analyses for management as requested.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of electric utility industry practices and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Knowledge of regulatory accounting environment such as rate case filing package. requirements, schedule and RFI preparation and rate case proceedings.
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work across organizational lines and with other non-financial disciplines- 2+ years progressive work-related experience is required.
- 3+ years of progressive work-related experience is required.
- Knowledge of Oncor’s Accounting Policies and Procedures.
- Working of the company’s general ledger system.
- Accurate and timely completion of journal entries, account reconciliations, and requests for information from auditors and SEC Reporting.
- Timely completion of Key Controls.
In addition to the above, Senior Accounts will be measure by:
- Accurate and timely preparation of reports.
- Accurate closing of assigned accounts.
- Proactive team member.
- Compliance with accounting policies, procedures and key controls.
