The Account Manager will primarily be responsible for obtaining sales, service, and reporting for their Customers within a defined geographical area. In addition to the current Customer base, the Account Manager is also responsible for developing a sales pipeline with a focus on closing new business in their assigned area. The Account Manager is assigned a Company vehicle and must possess a Class A CDL with HAZMAT endorsement to drive for Aegis in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Obtaining field samples for laboratory analysis;
- Inventory bulk tanks
- Check and adjust pump rates
- Repair pumps
- Order chemical for delivery and batch treatments
- New pump set ups
- Supervises batch treatment of oil line laterals and pig runs
- Change out coupons
- Performing field analysis of samples within parameters set forth by Aegis’ Operations team;
- Providing chemical and mechanical solutions to the Customer, while assisting them in lowering their lifting cost;
- Coordinates with Technical Services on difficult chemical-related problems;
- Creates monthly reports capturing cost, lab analysis, failures, etc.
- Attends and participates in Customer meetings, to exchange information and report performance;
- Maintains continuous injection rates at optimum levels;
- Provides written recommendations to improve operations for the Customer;
- Troubleshoots production chemical-related problems should they be encountered on the Customer’s site;
- Troubleshoots and works on pipelines;
- Develops and maintains Treater Truck treatment rates and/or frequency;
- Ensures Customer KPIs (key performance indicators) are met
- Conducts and reports a Total System Analysis (chemical survey) on existing or potential Customers
- Manages Customer chemical inventory in coordination with regional Aegis Operations team;
- May supervise a team of one or more Account Representatives;
- Focuses on accomplishing goals in a team environment with an emphasis on safety and cooperative communication across all other functional departments.
- Driving a Company vehicle in compliance with FMCSA regulations

- 5 years minimum experience as an Account Manager in the production chemical industry and;
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but we will accept work experience in lieu of.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs at any given time.
- Physical demands of the position including sitting, standing, climbing, agility, reaching, trunk movements, lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, low level work, dexterity of hands and fingers, seeing, hearing and talking.
- Ability to work in inclimate weather
This position requires extensive travel, greater than 50%.
