We are currently hiring an Account Manager to join the Consumer & Industrial Products Team in Mississauga, ON.

SUMMARY:

This role is primarily responsible for managing the sales and marketing of Compass’ consumer and industrial products. Products include water-conditioning salts, deicing salts, consumer and packaged-food salts, industrial food-grade salts, industrial general salts, and various agricultural salts.

How will you contribute to the team?

To perform this role successfully, the candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

- Meeting or exceeding budgeted volume and margin (price) objectives.

- Within assigned territory, sources, establishes, deepens and maintains key customer relationships and grows the customer base.

- Developing and implementing sales and marketing plans for assigned territory, including planning, promotions, pricing strategies and budget preparation.

- Managing and monitoring sales pipeline using CRM system.

- Work as team player, actively participating in sales meetings, events and presentations.

- Work collaboratively with Business Mgt., Planning, Production, Logistics and Customer Service to assure product availability and customer satisfaction.

- Demonstrate leadership in sales, internal and external customer service, continuous improvement, learning, teamwork and safety.

- Learn and identify competitive landscapes and build strategies to overcome obstacles.

- Maintain forecast accuracy monthly.

- Perform other related duties as required.

What should you bring to the role?

- Post-secondary education in Business, Sales, or Marketing preferred, or equivalent experience.

- Minimum of 8 years of direct, distribution and national account sales experience

- Sales experience in the food, industrial or agricultural fields is strongly preferred

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

- Excellent communication skills and ability to take direction and prioritize

- Ability to retain confidentiality and security of sensitive information and use discretion at all

- Proficiency in managing diverse projects, activities and responsibilities

What is the work schedule?

- This is a remote Monday-Friday 40-hour workweek role, with a periodic requirement to be onsite
