2nd Shift Shipping/Receiving Lead

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shipping/Receiving Lead to oversee our warehouse operations for our 2nd Shift. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the shipping/receiving process, ensuring accurate inventory control, and leading a team to maintain efficient warehouse distribution. This role requires strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of logistics, and the ability to implement process improvements within the warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate all shipping/receiving activities to ensure timely and accurate processing of incoming shipments.

- Manage inventory control processes, including tracking stock levels and conducting regular audits.

- Oversee the operation of forklifts and other materials handling equipment in compliance with OSHA regulations.

- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in shipping and receiving operations.

- Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.

- Train and mentor staff on best practices in warehouse management, safety protocols, and e-commerce fulfillment processes.

- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to monitor inventory levels and streamline operations.

- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to logistics and materials handling.

Skills

- Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and practices.

- Experience in warehouse distribution and logistics operations.

- Proven ability in process improvement methodologies to enhance operational efficiency.

- Proficient in operating forklifts with a valid certification preferred.

- Familiarity with inventory control systems and warehouse management software (e.g., Dynamics 365).

- Demonstrated experience in team management within a warehouse setting.

- Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to warehouse safety.

- Mechanical knowledge related to materials handling equipment is advantageous.

- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role.

- Previous experience in shipping & receiving functions is essential.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
