Shift Lead - 2nd Shift

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Leader to join our team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As a Shift Leader, you will oversee daily operations, manage staff, and ensure that all safety and quality standards are met.

Duties

- Lead assigned shift to meet production goals and quality standards.

- Be self-managed by working in areas that are critical to meet production goals.

- When required operate machinery and equipment for the creation of parts.

- Direct workforce in primary duties and re-direct as required.

- Participate in training of employees.

- Help plan, execute, and evaluate shift production.

- Provide support to other supervisors.

- Lead continuous improvement, safety, and ergonomic programs.

- Administer discipline in accordance with the employee handbook.

Requirements

Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Technical Expertise: Proven ability to work efficiently and train others in all aspects of welding and robotic welding operations.

Certification: Must successfully pass the company-administered welding test. Training will be provided to prepare for successful completion if needed.

Skills: Proficient in reading blueprints, measuring materials, using micrometers, and interpreting work instructions.

Documentation: Strong reading and writing skills to ensure accurate recordkeeping.

Equipment Operation: Must be a licensed forklift operator or have the ability to obtain licensure within 90 days

Physical Requirements: Capable of safely lifting and moving up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.

Leadership: Demonstrated leadership abilities with a focus on team development and operational excellence.

Attendance: Consistent and reliable attendance is essential.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Experience in training & development of staff members to foster a collaborative work environment.

Knowledge of inventory control processes and production methods.

Pay: $27.00 - $28.00 per hour
