2nd Shift Machine Operator - UPM Advanced Solutions

United Performance Metal's rapidly growing Advanced Solutions center is looking to add a Machine Operator to their 2nd shift Milling Center team. FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Starting Wage: $23 - $25, depending on experience

Working Hours: Monday - Thursday 3:00pm - 1:30am

Location: Hamilton, OH, On-site

$1,000 Sign-On Bonus after 90-days~~

As a Machine Operator, You Will

- Serve as a subject matter expert on customer manufacturing specifications to create machine programming

- Set up, troubleshoot, and operate machinery such as EDMs, mills, grinders, or VTLs according to strict tolerances.

- Examine and measure completed units, identifying defects and ensuring adherence to specifications; adjust machine controls to resolve production errors

- Exercise strong problem-solving ability for the inspection and repair of machinery

- Other duties as assigned

Skills And Experience For Success

- 2+ years of experience using and/or programming manual, semi-automated or automated tools, and machines

- Ability to proficiently set up and use measuring equipment including CMM, CAD-CAM, Micrometers, Height Gauges, Calipers, Profilometers, etc.

- Expert in reading and interpreting blueprints and design sketches

- Ability to create and maintain updated work processes related to machining

- Familiar with warehouse, manufacturing, or production planning environments

- Ability to train on 1st shift preferred.
