2nd Shift - Bending Center Operator

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a background in CNC machining processes. This role involves operating our automatic bending center, ensuring precision and quality in fabrication, and contributing to the overall efficiency of production operations.

This is a 2nd Shift / Split Shift Position. Hours will be from 3:00 pm- 11:30 pm. We are establishing a 2nd shift so we may be open to modifying these hours slightly. Fridays will be able to start and finish earlier as there's no standard first shift on Fridays.

Ideally we are looking for a candidate who is familiar with programming machines, or capable of learning and training in this regard.

Responsibilities

- Operate CNC bending machines to produce high-quality components according to specifications.

- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on laser equipment to ensure optimal performance.

- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirements.

- Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.

- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve workflow efficiency.

- Utilize hand tools and fabrication techniques to assist in assembly and finishing processes.

- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.

Skills

- Proficiency in CNC brake press or similar machines, CNC programming.

- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.

- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks.

- Ability to read blueprints accurately and utilize hand tools for fabrication tasks.

- Experience with tooling, sheet metal work, quality inspection processes, and assembly operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.88 - $29.75 per hour
