2nd/3rd Shift Welder, Millwright, Industrial Mechanic

Waukesha Iron and Metal is currently looking for a 2nd/3rd shift welder/millwright/maintenance person. One who can maintain and repair a Industrial equipment, such as conveyors, motors, hydraulics systems and much more. This position works in a small team of industrial mechanics.

We are seeking an individual who likes to weld, fabricate, and work on a variety industrial applications . A person who can perform both stick and wire feed welding. One who can work on multiple items at one time and get along with others.

DESCRIPTION

The Welding/Maintenance person will inspect, maintain, trouble shoot, repair and conduct preventive maintenance tasks on the American Pulverizer Hammer Mill and associated equipment.

Primary focus will be the maintenance and repair of the mill, air building, down stream building, tubes, and conveyor belts

- Setup, adjust and operate welding power source as specified

- Perform welds in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions using MIG welding techniques

- Follow quality guidelines in accordance with company standards

-Examine welds for correct bead size and other specifications

- Remove and repair unacceptable welds in order to meet quality requirements

- Repairing equipment based on the needs of the Mill

- Reading blueprints and schematic diagrams as needed

- Inspecting and conducting preventive maintenance as needed

Maintenance of facility equipment, including but not limited to:

- Stationary equipment

- Shredder

- Tubes, air building

-Downstream building/sorting lines

-Fabrication of parts to make repairs of equipment

Physical Requirements:

- Must be able to squat, kneel and crawl to service equipment

- Must be able to bend and twist with torque to service equipment and to reach into awkward areas

- Must be able to climb stairs, ladders and or steps to get up onto equipment

- Must be able to work below, at, and above shoulder level to maintain equipment

- Required to push, pull reach and grasp with hands to use hand tools

- Must be able to lift 50-80 pounds individually or up to 180lbs in a two man lift.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $34.00 per hour
