About Us

FIDELITY MANUFACTURING is part of the backup Power Generation Industry. We design and build back up power packages (to include tanks and enclosures) for large and small health, industrial, and technology-oriented businesses that cannot have a power lapse at any time.

Job Summary

The Steel Welder is responsible for assembling pieces of steel metal, specializing with Mig welding techniques with knowledge of various welding tools and machines. Daily, a steel welder is responsible for set-up, lay-out, and tack-up of various precision frame weldments and brackets. Ability to tack-up structures to tight tolerance. Ability to weld out precision frames to exact tolerances. Read complicated prints.

Essential Job Functions

•

Mig weld milled steel and stainless steel.

•

Square up and weld various shapes of components.

•

Weld both vertical and horizontal planes.

•

Meets agreed upon goals and objectives in a timely manner.

•

Arrives to work, meetings, appointments, and other work-related functions on time and as scheduled

•

Operate a forklift safely.

Education and Experience

High School or equivalent diploma w/ equivalent combination of education and experience required. A Weld Test is required as part of the hiring process, personal gear is required.

Equipment/Machinery Used

4.5 inch and 7 inch angle grinder, manual vertical band saw, pedestal grinder, and various clamps and fixtures; basic manual milling machine, forklift, tape measure, hand tools. Other equipment used: Oxy/Acetylene Torch and Plasma Torch.

Required Qualifications/Training

•

Background check and pre-employment drug screening required

•

Able to work well individually or in a team environment

•

Display being detail oriented eye/hand coordination

•

Able to apply common-sense understanding to carry out detailed written and/or oral instructions

•

Good understanding of set up techniques.

Please note: All employees must also be able to work in a warehouse setting that includes exposure to noise, all weather conditions, small levels of airborne particles and occasionally lift more than 50-75lbs. Safety training and equipment are provided by MPP in accordance with applicable law, industry standards, and company policy.
