Interns will apply academic theory, develop processes based on specific discipline, conduct research and perform analysis on assigned projects in the Chemistry department. Interns will develop recommended solutions for assigned work and present findings to the team, manager, or clients. Strong communications and interpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively with diverse groups of people within the organization. An elegantly efficient process of performing simple to complex calculations associated with executing regulatory requirements, procedures, and guidelines is key to success.

Our Hiring Process
We are accepting applications NOW through December 1 st , 2025. Our internship is highly competitive and will have different process stages during the application phase. Essential Functions
- Operate the mass spectrometers and other chemical and radiological laboratory equipment, including calibration and quality control measurements
- Collects site and environmental gaseous, liquid and solid samples and performs chemical and radionuclide analysis of those samples, and assures the minimization of contamination and generation of hazardous and radioactive waste in the laboratory
- Support preparation of reports for chemical analyses of UF6 production, survey, and personnel monitoring programs, maintains an effective record file system, keeps the laboratory contamination log, and implements the timely transfer of document test results and forms as required by procedure
- Responsible for support of daily chemistry laboratory operations, environmental monitoring and radiological measurements. Provides analytical support in the production of enriched UF6; participates in activities in the operation of chemical and environmental processes and technologies. Supports programs for the effective monitoring and trending, and interfacing with other URENCO USA departments to ensure efficient coordination of their activities with regard to chemistry and environmental monitoring. Perform cross-functional duties of the department employing sound scientific practices to minimize the contamination and the generation of hazardous and radioactive waste. Ensures all work is performed in a manner that the radiation dose is “as low as reasonably achievable” (ALARA).
- May 2026 through August 2026 (11 weeks) internship program
- Must be able to work at least 40 hours per week for the duration of the program

Compensation: $19/hour
