Yard Laborer/Auto Dismantler

JOB TITLE: Yard Laborer/Auto Dismantler REPORTS TO: Operations Manager. JOB TYPE: Full-time, Non-Exempt LOCATION: Skyway Auto Parts (637 Tifft Street Buffalo, NY 14220) HOURS: Monday - Friday 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Saturdays as needed. COMPENSATION: $16-18/hr, based on experience & skills

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Clean and prepare the job site and yard in a tidy and safe manner.

- Remove fluids such as gas or oil from vehicles.

- Remove tires from vehicles.

- Use a variety of tools and machines: blowtorches, forklifts, lifts, power drills, grinders, saws, pressure washers, and water spraying equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- High School degree or equivalent preferred.

- Being able to operate bobcats, forklifts, and loaders is a plus.

- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for long periods of time.

- Knowledge of the various ferrous and non-ferrous metals is a plus.

- Quick learner who can follow directions.

- Good communication skills.

- Team player.

- Organized, consistent, and good at multitasking.

- Must have reliable transportation to work.
