Responsibilities will include but not exclusive to:

Assisting the Shipper/Receiver

Maintaining the yard and assisting with material handling. This includes keeping the yard clean and organized, loading and unloading materials, operating equipment like forklifts, and assisting with inventory management. Also includes sweeping, removing debris, and organizing materials and equipment.

Ensuring the yard is free of hazards

Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other yard equipment to move materials and supplies

Performing routine checks on equipment, reporting any issues to supervisors, and potentially assisting with minor repairs or maintenance tasks.

Identifying and addressing potential safety hazards in the yard, such as tripping hazards

Assist with tasks related to the production line, such as providing materials or cleaning the production area.

General labor tasks as needed to support the overall operations of the manufacturing department

Traffic control when needed

Covering shift of Shipper/Receiver for holidays and days off

Qualifications:

Experience with operating basic yard equipment like forklifts, pallet jacks, scissor lifts and overhead cranes. We can ticket on site for forklift, overhead cranes and scissor lifts if necessary.

Able to lift 50 pounds, manual labor, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.

Valid Driver's license

Basic knowledge of computer programs as in Excel, Outlook, Internet

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
