Job Summary:

Lake Oconee Ace Hardware in Eatonton, GA is looking for a reliable and hardworking team member to join our team. This role is essential to maintaining an organized, safe, and customer-friendly outdoor area. The Yard Associate supports daily operations by assisting customers with loading materials, managing inventory, and keeping the yard clean and efficient.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist customers with loading and unloading merchandise, including lumber, soil, concrete, and other bulk materials.

- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment safely and efficiently (training provided).

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard, storage areas, and outdoor displays.

- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or damages to management.

- Receive, inspect, and stock incoming shipments of outdoor and building materials.

- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and store policies.

- Provide friendly and helpful customer service at all times.

- Support team members in other departments as needed.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

- Previous experience in retail, warehouse, or yard operations is a plus.

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in outdoor conditions year-round.

- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

- Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated.
