Key Accountabilities
Essential Functions
- Supervises the load out of equipment for the job.
- Communicates with the customer regarding operations on the well site.
- Manages the wireline crew and directs their progression and operations in the field and shop.
- Fills out service orders and job-related paperwork completely and correctly.
- Drive equipment to and from location as directed.
- Assist and direct in the rigging of equipment up and down.
- Determines proper tool strings for use in the well and directs the makeup of the tool string.
- Clean and maintain equipment.
- Directs the rebuilding of tools used in the servicing of the well and assists as needed.
- Load and assemble perforating guns without supervision.
- Operate and maintain assigned specialized wireline equipment with minimal supervision.
- Maintain a clean shop and work area.
- Assist in and direct the training of all Operator positions and Junior Field Engineers as assigned.
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
- Perform all duties in compliance with Customer and Company policies and procedures and applicable regulations.
- Actively participates in safety meetings to identify and address risks and hazards.
- Utilizes competency Processes to enhance job performance.
Knowledge/Skill/Ability
- Able operate a Windows-based computer.
- Able to properly fill out service orders for common services offered in the district.
- Knowledge of commonly used wireline tools and services offered in the district.
- Able to perform normal wireline related engineer tasks without supervision.
- Have written and oral communication skills.
- Be able to work at heights exceeding 10 feet above ground level.
- Able to operate forklifts and man-lifts as needed.
- Able to operate Mobile Cranes in a safe and controlled manner.
- Able to give and receive proper hand signals for lifting operations.
- Understand and safely perform 10K pressure control operations.
- Be able to drive large trucks and pull trailers.
- Able to follow verbal and written directions.
- Work as part of a team.
- Able to lift and carry heavy objects.
- Able to tolerate working in outdoor conditions.
- Detailed oriented.
- Accepts diversity and is respectful of people and company property.
- Can consistently be depended upon.
- Conduct/behavior is consistently appropriate in any situation.
- Have leadership skills able to direct one to three Operators.
- Basic understanding of basic electrical circuits.
- Knowledge of company policies, QHSE standards and PSL Work Instructions
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 4 years of oilfield wireline experience required.
- Valid CDL A/B with Hazmat endorsement.
Language Comprehension
Ability to understand and speak English at a level of proficiency allowing employee to issue, receive and respond to both safety and operations-related directions in English
