Essential Functions
- Greet customers, visitors, and employees as they arrive at the assigned premises or buildings.
- Maintain employee/visitor contact, equipment and reason for visit information.
- Communication liaison between Trucking Supervisor and/or acting supervisors.
- Keep an eye out for irregular or unusual conditions, that threaten to create security concerns or safety hazards.
- Keeps detailed truck, trailer, equipment and company information coming in and out of gate.
- Contact supervisors in cases of emergencies or threats, and attempt to handle situations until help arrives.
- Provides assistance and support to customers, visitors, and employees at the gates, ensuring that a professional and courteous manner is undertaken.
- Coordinate equipment availability/what’s on location.
- Coordinates trailer inspections, pick up and drop off paperwork.
- Knowledge of truck, trailer and equipment types.
- Use of forklift to load and unloaded sand boxes.
- Other duties as requested.
Knowledge/Skill/Ability
- Act professional.
- Ability to read and write detailed reports. Strong phone and computer skills – MS office and MS Excel.
- Knowledge in operating various commonly used office equipment’s and electronic media.
- High level of organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to use the internet and to do research work.
Language Comprehension
Ability to understand and speak English at a level of proficiency allowing employee to issue, receive and respond to both safety and operations-related directions in English
